How I wish I still believed that because I pay a horrendous amount of taxes, one day I will benefit from them. Ah...

I hope your children, travelling free on the underground and buses, and of course, should you wish, the catamaran, are QUIET. I hope also that when they go haywire, as children are wont to do, you stop them from doing so.

So many wishes jahasra :)

It is not strictly accurate to say that the world is overpopulated, in reality the problem is that the world's population is not evenly distributed. Italy, for example, has a very serious problem with declining birth rates and this in turn will create a serious imbalance within the next two decades as the 'baby-boomers' begin to retire.
Western societies need children in order that there is a workforce which is capable of earning money, paying taxes, and thereby funding the pension funds of retirees.
A civilised society encourages children rather than views them as a nuisance.
Our son is able to travel on London Underground and Buses all day for £1 so I am heartened to see that Malta still has one eye on the future !

Later on this week: Pozzallo and the only decent restaurant/enoteca to have supper at, a lovely and quiet agriturismo to stay at in the area, then moving on slowly to the Catania area, Etna hills, agriturismi there and so on.
Enough?

Keep up the good writing (and cheeky words)
Is part 2 coming up? Cause you only wrote about the ongoing trip on the catamaran
