World Figolli Day - Celebrating Maltese Traditional Food
planetmona, Gourmet Worrier and Tal-Familja restaurant get together to bring you World Figolli Day: make them, bake them and share them...but not before you show them off.
Maltese-Australian Nanette Johnson, together with the gorgeous Preca sisters from Tal-Familja are running a Figolli-making competition. It is a bit of fun for this Easter but at the same time it should raise much needed funds for a local charity non-profit organization Dar Tal-Providenza.
They are encouraging people to make their own Figolli this Easter and to keep the Maltese tradition. In other words, not buy ready.
The fun is just beginning. Participants will be competing for the nicest figolla 2011 and will be in the chance to win dinner for two people at Tal-Familja Restaurant as well as other huge prizes.
